IT IS WORKING!!!!

I have had enough of this baby fat that keeps hanging on around my mid section. My baby is now a toddler and will be going to preschool in the fall so I can not really call it baby fat anymore it is just plain old fat. We do not plan on having anymore daughters (or sons) so I have decided to do something about it. I am a huge biggest Loser fan and if Helen and Tara can do it then so can I. Only one problem here I do not have 8 hours a day to work out nor do I have the opportunity to go away to a ranch where there is nothing to do but work out and the kitchen cabinets are filled with only healthy foods.

For four weeks I have been diligently getting up at 6:00 A.M. and working out with Jillian Micheals (She looks good , huh?). I don't get to do it every morning or afternoon but I shoot for 3-4 times a week I also try to walk to the school to pick Sarah up, get moving on the Wii fit and try to keep active throughout the day. I feel like I have been doing well, I feel better and my stress level has come down. My biggest upset is I have been doing all this hard work and have not seen any change in weight loss or my clothes fitting me. I am not a very patient person and like to see results right away with everything. I know I need to do a little more, back when Marissa was 2 1/2 I did a class twice a week at the YMCA and ran on my treadmill here at home the other three days. I Lost 30 pounds in 4 months and then stopped loosing the weight and while wondering why I found out I was pregnant with Taylor and obviously gained it all back. I have also made the decision to go back to classes at the YMCA  because that is what worked for me and it will be fun to get out of the house to do something for me. My Treadmill is in storage (and I miss him dearly), but I hope it get him back in just a few weeks when we move into our new house.

Well all that just to say this: IT IS WORKING - today I have found out I  lost 3.3 pounds, not much but it is a huge motivator for me to keep going. I have been aware of my eating habits and am trying to eat less and in a few weeks I will be starting those classes at the YMCA. If you would like to join me, I would love the company. Most of you know where to find me, I will get you the details. Just to throw it out there the classes I will be attending are free if you have a full membership and there is babysitting (which I need and will use).

To those of you who are working hard but are discouraged about not seeing results, hang on and keep up the good work those results are on the way - even if it seems like it has been forever.

WE'RE MOVING!!!!!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

We were finally ready to put our house on the Market. We called our Realtor in March, got all the necessary paper work done and had the house up for sale by the end of March. Within  two weeks we had a showing . The people liked the house and returned for a second showing and put in an offer. All during this time we looked at several houses but had our hearts set on this one particular one we fell in love with. To make a long stressful process short, all parties involved are happy and all the paperwork, inspections and approvals went smoothly and well. Now all we need to do is wait. which is very hard for me, my patience level is not very high and I want to move. Our settlement date is June 18th, so for now I will pack boxes with 12 years worth of treasures and hopefully throw things out that we have been holding on to for no reason. If you are available at all durning the week of June 15th - June 20th we sure would love to have your help, there will be plenty to do: play with the girls, pack some boxes, move some furniture.  The first half of the week we will be finishing packing, the 18th we will go to settlement on two houses and be moving in the new house the rest of the weekend. Stop on by say goodbye to our home, pick up a box and tour the new house. Did I mention I am so excited! We have always dreamed of moving and now we are. It is so Exciting! Give me a call or send me an email so I can give you more details.

Here's a sneak peak of our new house.

A FEW UPDATES

I wanted to update all you who are faithful followers on a few posts.

FRUSTRATED OVER FRACTIONS:
*Sarah received her fractions test back and got a 100%. Way to go Baby Girl I new you
could do it - a special thanks to Mr. Miller as well with all the time spent helping her.

*next up - Multiplication  Sarah seems to be catching on real well to this concept - Praise
the Lord because it is too confusing to me with all these new ways they are teaching the
kids. We have actually been having a good time together doing homework because she is           teaching me.

DATE NIGHT:
*Tim and I finally watched  that movie, it was "W", about George Bush. I was quite bored
with the movie having no interest in politics. It was just nice to be spending time with
my husband.  I spent the whole movie trying to figure out who Laura was thinking that
Barbara was his wife and Laura was some mistress. Tim set me straight but however
was not real happy with the way the movie ended. As soon as it was over he turned it off,
took out the DVD, placed it in the red Netflix envelope and sealed it to be mailed.

*The Purple shirt - I washed the shirt with the marker all over it. It still has marker
all over it but that is ok because it reminds of the day Pop watched the girls and makes us
laugh. It could not have been that bad because I asked my Dad to watch Taylor today so I
can take Marissa to her Kindergarten Orentation and just focus on her and not worry
about chasing a two year old around. Thanks Dad.

THE BIG GIRL BED:
*Taylor is doing supper well with her big girl bed. She absolutely  loves it. She has been
sleeping well at night and taking naps. She has even leaned to stay in bed until I come get     her. Now if I could just get her to go on the potty.

THE BIG GIRL BED

I have been talking about putting Taylor in a toddler bed for a little bit now. Well late Saturday afternoon while my parents were sitting out back with us, I got to thinking Taylor did not have a nap today (being over tired is perfect for staying in a new bed) my dad is right here to help me take the crib down and put the bed in and my Mom is also here to watch the kids for us.
So we did it, we went to work, it did not take us long and as we were carrying the crib out Taylor is yelling Hey, that mine, that mine.  I quickly went to work explaining that she was going to get a big girl bed and that her old bed was needed for babies who did not have one. She took to the new bed well with some help from her older sister. M

arissa helped set up her new bed, read her some books and even gave up one of her favorite pillows to have (she is such a sweetheart).
Here is a log so far of how it is going:

Night One (Saturday) not to bad -
Cried twice, once she was half out of the bed, the other she lost her binkys.

Night Two (Sunday) no nap again -
only up once to find her binkys.

Day Three (Monday) -
attempted to give her a nap, 10 minutes later she is in the hallway saying, "momma, I done, I all done." I quickly let her know she was not done and sent her back to bed.
- Bed time, again out of bed after 5 minutes saying "I done" - No little one time for a    long nap. Up twice, once laying on the floor and another time standing in the middle    of the room looking disoriented.

Day Four (Today, Tuesday) -
No nap today in attempt to put her to bed early so I can watch the finale of the Biggest Loser.

*I do like nap time but I would rather her go to bed early and stay there. We will see what happens.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Mother's Day to all those woman who have been and are apart of my life. Thank you for all the examples you have been, the blessing that you are to me and for showing me kindness and love when I didn't even deserve it. I hope your day is filled with joy and happiness and a peace that you have never felt before.

I was woken up this morning by three little girls who had talked their dad into making breakfast for me (after just finishing a 12 hour shift). It was wonderful, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Bacon, and my favorite glass of juice. Followed by cards, flowers, potted plants and a Wii fit Jillian Michaels Cardo game.  I am so blessed to have these three little girls in my life. While they may keep me busy and frustrate me at times, I would not trade them for anything in the world.

Here is a Mother's Day tribute to all those Mommy's who work real hard every day to make their house a home from Marissa and her Preschool friends.

DATE NIGHT

Tim's schedule has been so crazy since the beginning of the year, and I have been busy with the girls and school and all their activities. Well, Tim finally had a break this weekend and so we decided we needed a date night without the kids. Our plan was to just go out to dinner and then come home to watch a movie after the girls were in bed.

This is what happens when you are desperate for a night out and a free babysitter and have to leave three little girls with their Pop until Nanny comes home.
Taylor was covered from head to toe with marker. I made attempts to scrub her but she still today has it on her face and all over her hands, which is not unusual for this little girl. I am hoping it comes out in the bath tub tonight. And the shirt, I am still not sure of its destiny. I sprayed it but have not had a chance to wash it just yet. I am so thankful for our  parents who are willing to spend time with their grandchildren even if that means they come home a mess. It was time well worth spending.

P.S. Tim and I were so tired last night from being busy all week, we never did watch that movie. We headed up to bed about 9:30 and Tim started snoring before 10.  Maybe we will get to watch that movie some other time.

ART SHOW

Sarah's school had a school wide art show to display all the project the kids had worked on so hard throughout the year tonight. She had several items on display and this year's theme in art class was all about self portraits. The students learned a lot and did a great job on all their projects.

SUPERMOM

Being a Mom we all know that it is not the most rewarding job. We see our kids grow and learn new things and do a ton of things for them just to make the peace and see a smile on their face. But we rarely ever get thanked or helped out or shown appreciation and those time we say no for their own good are always blown out of proportion. Well, today Marisaa made my day. Marissa is such a sweetheart, she is kind hearted and very helpful. Today was Marissa's snack day for Preschool. We always make brownies together because those are one of Marissa's favorite treats. I received an email today from one of her preschool teachers and this is what it said. "Today at snack it was so cute, all the kids were like Marissa - you bring the best snacks. She was so excited. She said that is because my Mom makes the best snacks. Well, after reading that email I was overcome with emotion as any Mom would be. It was nice to know that she appreciated the little things I do for her. Later that night, after dinner, Marissa was in the bath room and she starts screaming that there were little black things all over the floor and they were moving and going to get her. I went to access the situation and sure enough there were tiny little black ants all over the bath room floor. I got her out of the bathroom when she was done and went right to work on getting rid of them. She looked at me and said, "SHEW! Thanks for saving me Mom!" Later she went into the bathroom to take a look and shouted with a priceless smile on her face, "There all gone, your the best mom." TODAY SHE MADE ME FEEL LIKE A SUPER HERO.
